About Us
- Hive Education Group is a local education provider, running holiday schools, in-person tutoring services and 11+ preparation courses in Greenwich, Bexley and Kent.
- Unlike most holiday clubs, our unique '50:50' programme supports our young people to stay on top of their learning through interactive and bespoke academic sessions, combined with arts and crafts and sports each day.
Avoid the holiday learning loss
On average, young people retreat in their learning by 1.5 terms over the summer holiday alone, meaning that they start the new academic year behind. The same is true to different extents in each of the school holiday breaks, often making the start of a new school Term both challenging and draining.
We believe in holistic education whereby learning isn't simply limited to Term Time. We seek to fill students' holidays with awe and wonder, developing a true love of learning as well as opportunities to develop new friendships and to learn new skills.
Fun-filled afternoons
The school holidays can be a restless time, with anxiety and little structure. By offering specific days rather than whole week programmes, we enable our young people (and their parents/carers!) to retain some much needed structure, whilst also forming new friendships with their peers, all of whom are also preparing for the start of the new school term.
Who are we?
All of the staff members planning and overseeing sessions at Hive Holiday School are fully qualified local teachers and school leaders who work in local schools. Hive Holiday School is part of Hive Education Group which is led by Rob Leitch. Rob is a local teacher, school leader and governor, who has four young children himself. He is also a big West Ham fan so understands the importance of building resilience and character into education!
